MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: In person, nearby Mexican El Zasón appears to have dumbed down its menu somewhat before I had a chance to get there: the story of my life. Streaming at home, make like you’re at Gage & Tollner and have a Turf Club: pour 2-1/2 oz. Gin, 1 oz. dry Vermouth, 1/2 teaspoon Maraschino liqueur, and 1/4 teaspoon Absinthe into an ice-filled cocktail shaker. Stir. Strain into a chilled Martini glass or coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist.
