The estimable Orpheus Chamber Orchestra doesn’t usually do much New Music. So it’s nice to see the TIME:SPANS Festival inducing them to take a dive — and who better to join them for the ride than the questing bassoonist Rebekah Heller and electrician Maciej Lewandowski? Heller and Lewandowski will play Felipe Lara; the Orchestra will play Amy Williams and Schoenberg (the latter not really New, OK).

MAKE A NIGHT OF IT: Theoretically boring, in practice delicious, Italian from the oven at Ci Siamo.
