In 1958, Jasper Johns and Robert Rauschenberg organized a retrospective of John Cage’s work over the preceding 25 years at The Town Hall. Tonight, Eighth Blackbird pays tributing by revisiting some of the music played. By coincidence, I recently played the recording of the 1958 concert. To say that it was fabulous would be an understatement.
